Your E book on latchin
I love it! I don't have a latch hook yet, it is late but I will be going to the store tomorrow to get one. I did try it with my fingers and I can say I am very excited about getting started. Your instructions were so easy and the book easy to read. I will be recommending all my friends that are trying to loc to your site.
Thank you so much.

Part Two
April 6, 2008
I just finished my hair and I love it! I have been wearing locs for about 13years. And it is so hard to twist at the roots. I cut mine so they are shoulder length now. It took me all day Sat.(I watched Lifetime movies while I latched) then I rolled my hair up on rollers. This morning getting ready for church was a breeze, and I got lots of compliments on my hair. My hair looks cute. I will take a picture and show you.

Hi Cherie,
I downloaded your Latch'n ebook last week, and used your method on my locs last weekend. OMYGOD! I wish I had know this method when I first started locking my hair 12 years ago! It is so great to know I don't have to worry about my locs coming alose at the scalp.
I did buy a latch hook, but I found it to be quite unwieldy to use. I found it much easier to use my fingers or a pair of needle nose tweezers. I just inserted the closed tweezers at the base of the loc push it through, open and put the end of the loc into the tweezers and pull it back through. For me this worked great...fast and easy.
So Cherie, thanks again for a great idea. Will you be coming out with a styling ebook for longer locks? Love your website.

Hi Cherie:
Just wanted to check-in.
I've followed your detailed instructions and completed my first
latching
session. I'm one of your very proud students. My hair feels much
fuller and looks great. I'm not completely satisfied with my plastic
latching tool but it did the trick for a novice like me. I'm still
looking for a wooden-handle latching tool. Other than that, I'm a
satisfied student.
Thanks.

first Thank You Thank You Thank You. Finally a book with step by step instructions with clear pictures of how to do this. I have been locking for 11 years and faithfully go to my loctician every 6-8weeks. I have thin fine soft hair and it doesn't take long for the roots to come out especially at the top of my head. I have a locking tool that I purchased from another sista but your pictures show a much clearer image of the process. Do you also sell the locking tool or can I use a crochet hook?

Hi Cherie
I love this method, I just tried it on one locs using my fingers. Thank you for the photos and very clear directions....

Thank you for your e-book, Cherie. I sat down with it on the computer
screen and my old rug latch hook. The hook part is a little larger,
sturdier and smoother than the ones that were available at my
neighborhood beauty supply. I got it down to where I was able to work
it not only in front of the TV, but also in the car on the way to
church
(my husband driving)! It feels great to have my whole head done now.
Better yet, I don't have to re-twist every time I shampoo! Thank you
so much for sharing!

Dear Cherie,
I just wanted to thank you for writing such an excellent ebook on the Latchin' method for tightening locks. My hair is very soft and fluffy and it took over a year of gunk and wax, twisting and pinning, to get those hairs to lock. I originally decided to get dreads because I have little time to maintain my hair (I'm a simgle mother raising two year old twin girls and I'm a full-time student, you understand!), but it just wasn't happening. When I got your book I had over three inches of new growth that wasn't locking! My locks mean so much to me; your book saved us!
Forever indebted,
Andrea

"Hi,
Cherie-
I wanted to take a minute to thank you for freeing me from
gels and creams that continuously left my scalp oily and greasy!
I ordered your booklet only a couple of weeks ago, and I can
already tell the difference in my hair and scalp. As a runner,
I always had a case of the 'loosies' due to my profuse sweating,
and therefore, I had locs that just wouldn't loc at the root!
Latchin' has changed all that...after more than two years
of growing my locs, they are finally nice and tight all the
way to the scalp, even after my runs.
Thanks again for sharing your discovery."
Sincerely,
- Ellyssia M.

"My
locs were started two years ago with comb coils and I have
really been pleased with them. The only down side is that
all the retwisting is really getting on my nerves.
I
was glad to see someone (you) had figured out a way to tighten
up the new growth in a more permanent fashion."

"I
was very pleased with your manual. It was exactly what I had
hoped it would be. I heard many times about the latchhook
method of tightning locks, however; I was still unsure as
to how exactly to do it. Your book did an excellent job describing
the method and the pictures were on point. Kudos to you. Thanks
to you I can now throw away those messy gels and still tighten
my locks."
With
sincere thanks,
-Desmond

"Many
thanks for your manual. After reading it I ran out to a rag
shop and got myself a latch hook for .99 cents!!!. Did my
hair that same day. Your instructions were clear and very
easy to follow; this is going to make life soooo very much
easier for me. After being natural for 8 years, I decided
to loc up but had no idea where to start. This is the best
info I have had so far and so affordable thank you! thank
you! thank you!"

"I purchased
and downloaded your Latchin Locs PDF manual. Great Info!
Because of your info I tightened up my 4 month-old twist-locs
using your method and I washed my hair right after with no problem....you seem to have a knack for breakin'
it down and puttin' it in terms that make you say, OHHHH,
that's what they mean!!!!"

"Hey
Cherie,
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Your manual was right on
time. I am a baby to dreadlocks (13 weeks) and I have very
soft hair (half Filipina and half Black). It was very difficult
for my hair even to hold twists and palmrolling was not holding
the new growth like I expected. I looked on another website
and a couple of people mentioned the latching (one of them
actually dropped your name). I searched and found your manual.
The instructions were easy to follow and very clear and the
pictures helped too. I tightened up the roots within a couple
of hours and even washed out ALL the beeswax. Now, I LOVE
HOW THEY LOOK AND FEEL. No more heavy products to use in my
beautiful mane. I will recommend your book to anyone who asks.
Thanks again!
Sincerely
from a very satisfied customer"
